The shipwright first enlarged Favourite’s line drawings to a quarter of the boat's full size. From these a full-sized drawing of each half frame (i.e. port and starboard) was produced on the 14ft x 14ft (4m x 4m) lofting table - a process called lofting. For every frame, a full-size pattern was made from hardboard.

Favourite's lines and frame drawings are available for model building and research.
